Lady Angela Powell received her salvation at the age of 16 years old when she visited a United Pentecostal Church in the Bronx, New York. *At the early stage of her walk with the Lord, she endured many hard trials including abandonment from her parents, this taught her to trust in the Love and promises of God; by his grace and mercies, she has proven for herself that God is Faithful.
Angela has ministered in several states @ Ladies conferences and motivational leadership seminars etc. She has served as a Ministry coordinator on the leadership committee of the National Building The Bridge. and has ministered the word of God for several churches in her local UPCI NY Metro District & upstate NY District. She is responsible for initiating and developing several programs for her local Church, such as, DOVE Conference, AMAG, Daughters of Victory Ministry, The Pavilion Club, Seeds of Wheat Leadership Training Program, Pow Wow for young ladies... to name a few, Lady Powell works hard at being an efficient effective help-meet to her husband/pastor. She has a degree in Business Administration, and serves as the Sr. Church administrator, She is an expert Event Planner and a master in organizational skills, loves to entertain family & friends, traveling and best of all, spending time with her five (5) precious grandchildren. She is the founder and CEO of Steadfast Leaders Inc. a Non-profit religious organization which provide and directly conduct Church laity-leadership training via our dynamic S.M.A.R.T Seminars and Workshops, We present and host (annually) the STEADFAST LEADERS RETREAT (aka) SL-RETREAT. For many years, Lady Powell has carried a strong burden for the invaluable Senior and laity leaders of Christian churches. Many years ago, She made a vow to someday make a positive difference on their behalf. These fellow servants of the kingdom of God are a vital part of her personal prayers & supplications... as she prays for them constantly. Prior to moving forward to fulfill this Vision, she consulted with her husband for guidance, covering and support, additionally, she also consulted with her district superintendent, Bishop Arthur Thomas, which gave wise counsel & support without hesitation. Angela simply wants to do that which God has placed in her heart... Leaving those things which are behind, she is determine to press toward the mark of fulfilling God's purpose for her life. The mission of Steadfast Leaders Inc. was a dream and a vision which burned in her heart for about (15) fifteen years prior. but even though she is a busy mother, grandmother and pastor's wife, there was a deep longing to realize this vision., In 2011 The strong desire to move forward compelled Lady Powell into seven (7) days of fasting and prayers, specifically to seek the face of God for direction. With the Lord ordering her steps, she founded: Steadfast Leaders Inc. Lady Angela Powell has many accomplishments (not mentioned here) But among them, She is most grateful for her family, three adult children, Mother-in-Law of two, and a proud Grandmother of five, She has served in ministry for thirty seven years and Married for 43 years to Rev. Clayton Powell, the senior pastor of Abundant Life Church of Yonkers, New York., And Templo Nueva Vida (Spanish Church) Bronx NY. They have served seven (7) terms as Section One Presbyter over 16 churches of the NY Metro District UPCI. Lady Angela Powell continues to believe, experience and testify that... God is faithful! |
